ASCER, the Association of Ceramic Floor and Wall Tile Manufacturers of Spain, in collaboration with Observatorio de Tendencias del Hábitat (Observatory for Habitat Trends), organized a press mission to Castellón, Spain on September 12 and 13. The purpose of this mission was to allow journalists specialized in the interior design and decor sector to experience first-hand the ceramic tile industry by visiting several tile factories, as well as seeing and experiencing the new ceramic tile trends to come.

This activity, which is carried out within the framework of the collaboration agreement with the Department of Finance, Economy and Public Administration of the Generalitat Valenciana, aims to show Spanish ceramics in depth, its innovation, potential and wide offer in both designs as in solutions for architecture and interior design.

Ceramic products continue to be in sync with the premises of sustainability and well-being to develop that ceramic product in accordance with the requirements of the interior environment that continues to expand to the exterior.

The design of ceramic products is incorporating elements and materials from nature or recycled. Stones, marbles, and sensory surfaces are used to create unique and original pieces that are combined with soft tones along with digital colors, creating a fusion between the organic and the contemporary.

In this trend, the need to bring nature closer to home is enhanced, using pieces with a primitive aesthetic with finishes that highlight the materials such as rough, coarse, raw-looking, veined and even burned surfaces and graphics that reproduce natural effects like water, clouds or forests. In this trend, blue and emerald tones, vivid greens, orange tones and terracottas are predominant.

Well Obsessed

This trend is committed to offering a feeling of well-being, through pieces that transmit warmth with soft finishes that incorporate organic and rounded shapes and neutral tones in pastel colors following a minimalist aesthetic line.

This trend is committed to offering a combination of aesthetics ranging from the 50s to the 70s, through visually striking pieces with bright geometries and colors with a digital touch that create a sensation of movement and rhythm.

Ethereal

This trend aims to represents the future, sophistication and luxury through gleaming, slick, and metallic surfaces, marbled finishes and dark tones recalling a futuristic aesthetic.
