Tile of Spain attends as an exhibitor for the first time at the biennial trade show of reference for the hotel sector
France is currently the second destination for exports in the industry

For the first time, Tile of Spain attends the trade show Equip Hotel, held in Paris Expo- Porte de Versailles from November 3rd-7th, with an informational stand. This activity is part of the Plan for the Internationalization of the Ceramic Tile Industry jointly developed by ASCER and ICEX, and with the support of the Economic and Commercial Office of Spain in Paris.

EquipHotel is the international trade show of reference for the professionals of the hotel and hospitality sector, held every two years, and it receives 1,200 exhibitors. This year the edition celebrates the theme “Time to dare” and aims to show new perspectives for the hospitality sector, innovations and creative proposals.

The Tile of Spain stand, located on the hall 7.3 dedicated to “Technology, services and design”, hosts an area for the exhibition of products and trends of the Spanish manufacturing companies, as well as promotional and informational material for the uses and advantages of ceramic tiles. The goal for this participation is to show the visitors the versatility, design and innovation of Spanish ceramics that make it an ideal material for its use in hotel and restaurant spaces, for the interior areas like rooms, common areas, dining halls, etc; as well as exterior areas like terraces, pools or façades.

The informational stand was devised to hold the products of 12 Tile of Spain companies (check the promotional brochure); but unfortunately, due to the aggresive DANA storm and floods that have hit the Valencian Region, it has not been possible to send all the material that was originally planned. Despite the logistic difficulties, it was possible to exhibit a selection of pieces and samples of a wide variety of associated companies. There are also three Tile of Spain companies participating as exhibitors individually at EquipHotel: Cevica, Mainzu and Vives.

Between January and August 2024, France has stood in the 2nd place for the exports of Spanish ceramic tiles, with an accumulated total sales of €290.3 million. In 2023 the total sales to France were of €455.2 million.

ASCER-Tile of Spain would like to reiterate their most sincere condolences for all those affected by this tragedy and send our support in these moments of grief and hardship.
