A group of 7 Belgian architects visits Castellon to discover first-hand the Spanish ceramic tile sector and its applications in contemporary architectural projects
The mission is organized by the Chamber of Commerce of Castellon with the collaboration of ASCER and the support and co-financing of FEDER Funds and the Valencian Institute of Business Competitiveness and Innovation (IVACE+i), and it aims to strengthen the positioning of spanish ceramic tiles in the international architecture and interior design environments.
During their stay, from Oct. 19-22th, the visitors have the opportunity to discover first-hand the capacity for innovation, design and sustainability that characterizes the Spanish ceramic sector. The schedule includes presentations at the ASCER offices about the sector and current trends in design, along with visits to showrooms and manufacturing plants of a dozen companies with the Tile of Spain seal. The visit is organized around the “Architecture in Ceramics” motto, highlighting the role of the ceramic material as a versatile and contemporaneous resource in architecture and interior design.
Tile of Spain in Belgium
Belgium is a key market for Tile of Spain, with a demand of high added value products, where the quality, design and innovation of Spanish ceramics are very aprreciated.
In 2024, Spanish ceramic tile exports to Belgium reached 74.5 mill.€, and between January and July 2025, sales to Belgium have reached 45.7 mill.€, standing at the top 10th destination for Tile of Spain products.
This activity is part of a series of promotional initiatives of Tile of Spain in European strategic markets, with the objective of strengthening the Spanish ceramic tiles positioning in the international architecture and design channel.
