Ivace+i International and ASCER organise a reverse trade mission of British distributors

Nine UK distributors are visiting the Spanish ceramic tile cluster from 3 to 6 March to explore new product launches, advances in industrial innovation and sustainability initiatives

ASCER, together with Ivace+i Internacional — under the Regional Ministry of Innovation, Industry, Trade and Tourism — has organised this week a reverse trade mission for nine British distributors, including visits to ceramic tile manufacturers located in the province of Castellón.

The initiative forms part of Time of Spain, a sector-wide promotional campaign led by ASCER bringing together nearly 70 manufacturers with the aim of strengthening the international positioning of Spanish ceramic tiles and consolidating Castellón as the core of the production process. The mission is carried out in cooperation with The Tile Association (TTA), the UK body representing tile distributors and installers, with which ASCER maintains a close and longstanding partnership.

Over several days, the delegation will visit production facilities and showrooms of Tile of Spain companies, gaining first-hand insight into manufacturing processes, application versatility and the latest product innovations targeted at the UK market. The programme, which runs until Friday 6 March, also includes a briefing session at ASCER headquarters, where TTA representatives will present an analysis on UK construction market, addressing overall outlook, distribution trends and forecasts.

This marks the fifth edition of the reverse trade mission aimed at UK distributors, the third-largest export destination for Spanish ceramic tiles. In 2025, sales to the UK reached €196.5 million, representing year-on-year growth of 2.5%. These figures reinforce the strategic value of the British market for Tile of Spain and highlight the relevance of this initiative within the sector’s international promotion strategy in a priority destination.

Through this initiative, ASCER and Ivace+i International join forces to foster new business opportunities, strengthen manufacturer-distributor relationships, and further position Spanish ceramics as a benchmark in competitiveness, quality and sustainability across leading international markets.

Last week, also in collaboration with Ivace+i International, a similar reverse mission for US distributors was organised under the same Time of Spain framework.
