For the first time ever, this latest edition introduces subcategories in Architecture and Interior Design, reflecting ceramic tiles\u2019 rich diversity. <br \/><br \/>The Tile of Spain Awards come with cash prizes of \u20ac8,000 for each of the four professional subcategories in Architecture (A-a, A-b) and Interior Design (I-a, I-b), and \u20ac3,000 for the award in the Master\u2019s Thesis category for students of architecture. The awards are sponsored by Valenciaport and supported by the Generalitat Valenciana\u2019s Regional Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs, within the framework of a collaboration agreement. <br \/><br \/>The projects singled out at this edition reflect the scope and versatility of ceramic tiles in contemporary architecture and design. The proposal reveals a deep understanding of the ceramic process, which acts as a structuring element for the space and the common denominator on a journey that recovers and revitalises the empty spaces and ruins of Los Loros, a village on La Gomera.
