The on-line seminar took place as part of the formative PiP Seminars by the RIBA Journal magazine and was attended by about 300 architects.
As a part of the Promotion Plan for Spanish ceramic tiles in the UK supported by ICEX and with the collaboration of the Economic and Commercial Office of Spain in London, Tile of Spain took part in a seminar titled “Bespoke House Design”, organized by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA). The webinar was followed online by nearly 300 architects.
The webinar is one of many in the circle of PiP (Products in Practice) seminars by the RIBA. In the presentation, Clara Vicedo, architect in the department of promotion of ASCER, analyzed the wide range of uses of the Spanish ceramic tiles in homes, showing their versatility for any kind of architectural design and highlighting the qualities and properties of Spanish ceramic tiles, among which stand their contribution to sustainable building and energy efficiency.
The participation of ASCER in this seminar aimed to promote the innovation and design offered by the Spanish ceramic sector among the local professionals, showcasing the industry as avant-garde, innovative and high-tech. There is a recording of this speech available through this link.

Tile of Spain has a dedicated Country Plan for the United Kingdom, jointly developed with ICEX, comprising activities like participation in trade fairs, missions, formative seminars, etc.
The UK was the third destination of Spanish ceramic tile exports in 2023, with sales of more than 208 Mill. Euros (-18.5%). Between January and September 2024, the accumulated sales amount to 148.3 Mill. Euros, -8.9% with regards to the same time period in 2023.
