“National Children’s Museum of South Korea”
The National Children’s Museum of South Korea, project by Office Ou and Junglim Architecture, is the first building to be inaugurated within the ambitious national museum complex built on Sejong City, that will host up to 12 cultural institutions. With a surface of over 5,000 sqm, the museum is conceptualized as a flexible, tactile and cmfortable space, designed to change with the seasons thanks yo the gardens, orchards and exterior areas designed for playing, learning and holding exhibitions.
The ceramic façade is a distinguishing mark for the building, with extruded pieces, total o partially glazed, that create dynamic visual effects that change with the light and the point of view. The colors of the façade —yellow, red and blue— reflect the local landscapes and the seasons, combining architecture and nature in a contemporary and sensitive language.

“TUR House”
Contrasting with the increasing standarization of residential construction projects, this home offers a personalized design for a common flat in a working class neighbourhood, with creative and affordable solutions, and readily available materials. Instead of the generic house proposed by big promoters, this project proves the possiblity of transforming a space without having to turn to exclusive craftsmanship or high budgets.
The project chooses to reinterpret common materials thorugh intelligent and emotional design. Ceramics become the expressive soul of the project: an accessible material, deeply rooted in Spanish tradition, used in unexpected places like plinths in living rooms or coverings in bedrooms, brings in surprise, colour and a strong scenographic element.
