About “Casa Marratxí”

Located in Marratxí (Mallorca), this single-family home designed and built by Casas inHAUS integrates a minimalist design with an industrialised building system tailored to the Mediterranean landscape. Open to its surroundings through a longitudinal glazed façade, the house establishes a continuous dialogue between interior and exterior, creating a fluid and bright living experience.

Ceramics take centre stage in the project, used across both floors and wall surfaces. Beyond their aesthetic contribution, they bring texture, light and material coherence, establishing themselves as an essential element of the architectural language. The use of large-format porcelain tiles, alongside natural finishes and advanced technical solutions, enhances both construction quality and material performance.

This project received the Architecture Award in Subcategory Aa at the latest edition of the Tile of Spain Awards (see more).

About “Hotel Kimpton Los Monteros”

The interior spaces of this hotel, located in Marbella, have been reimagined by EL EQUIPO CREATIVO through a proposal that blends the glamorous aesthetic of the hotel’s 1970s origins with contemporary Andalusian essence. Drawing inspiration from natural landscapes, artistic traditions, and the Mediterranean spirit, the design integrates abundant vegetation, extensive use of ceramics, and hand-painted murals influenced by Picasso, offering guests an immersive and refined experience.

Ceramics act as a unifying element in the space, flowing through the lobby and reception-adjacent circulation areas using porcelain stoneware that reinterprets traditional hydraulic mosaics. The approach results in a visually striking design that also ensures the technical performance required for a busy hospitality setting, delivering resistance, durability, and low maintenance.

The project was awarded an Honourable Mention in the Interior Design Category at the latest edition of the Tile of Spain Awards (see more).

The Best Booth Awards also recognised two Tile of Spain companies for the conceptual and spatial quality of their booths. Decocer showcased “Ecos de Tierra”, a sensory installation developed by architect Héctor Ruiz Velázquez, where ceramic cylinders emerge as sculptural elements evoking the essence of clay, giving the space rhythm and life. Vives presented a modular gallery articulated through sequential frames, depth effects, and a central totem featuring ceramic patterns at multiple scales, which became the main icon of the booth.
