This Thursday 14th the seminar about benefits and strengths of Tile of Spain ceramic products
Tile of Spain, in the context of the Plan for the promotion of the Spanish ceramic tiles in USA and Canada, co-financed by ICEX and ASCER, and with the support of the Commercial Offices of Spain in Miami and Toronto, has organized two seminar-exhibitions for an audience of local architects, interior designers, distributors and press.
The first of them was held this Friday 8th of November at the Hart House of the University of Toronto, and received 70 assistants in person as well as approx. 50 assistants online. The event was organized in collaboration with AZURE Magazine, specialized in architecture and interior design. It was held as one of the prestigious Azure Talks, with two renowned architects as speakers: Aránzazu González Bernardo, co-founder of the architecture studio Odami, and Nicolas Koff, co-founder of the Office OU studio. Moderated by Azure senior editor, Stefan Novakovic, both speakers discussed the possibilities offered by the Tile of Spain products for architecture and interior design projects, and the reasons behind their choice for this material.
A total of 11 Tile of Spain companies could display their products and promotional materials in the exhibition area. The companies were: ADEX USA, Azteca Cerámica, Cevica, Decocer, Estudio Cerámico, Natucer, Peronda, Porcelanosa, STN Cerámica, TAU Cerámica and Vives Azulejos y Gres.
Next Thursday 14th it will be the turn for Calamillor, in Miami, to hold the Tile of Spain seminar; where, aside from the exhibition area with 15 Tile of Spain companies, there will be a CEU-format talk (Continuing Education IDCEC+AIA) imparted by Ryan Fasan (expert consultant for Tile of Spain).
In this event, in collaboration with Metropolis Magazine, specialized in design and architecture, Ryan Fasan will introduce the latest advances in ceramic tiles, how the trends in architecture have changed over recent years, and what we can expect the future to bring. He will be followed by the senior editor of Metropolis, Francisco Brown, who will open a discussion on the emerging trends in ceramics.
The product exhibition area will display materials by ADEX USA, Azteca Cerámica, Cevica, Decocer, Dune Cerámica, EMAC Grupo, Estudio Cerámico, Gayafores, Grespania, Peronda Group, Porcelanite Dos, Porcelanosa, STN Cerámica, Undefasa, and Vives Azulejos y Gres.
The U.S. is currently the first destination for Tile of Spain exports. Between January and August, sales have reached €316.5 Mill. (+1,3%).
Canada is currently on the 20th position in the destinations ranking and the first 8 months of 2024 the country has imported ceramic tiles from Spain by value of €261.1 Mill. (-2,2%).
